Temples at the Lake Nasser - Cruise on Lake Nasser

Finally I have translated the information on the Blemmyes
(this link) and on the momuments and places at Lake Nasser which I have visited in 2007 - these are the temples which have been saved before the Lake Nasser was flooded (because of the erection of the New Dam at Aswan). This area is the ancient domain of the Blemmyes (descendants of the Medjai), so therefore it was very interesting. Chancellor Ramses Khementer Bay has also left his traces here. Follow this link for getting directly in the tent "Medjai Infos"! More information on my Lake Nasser Cruise are to be found in the tent "Egypt" - the 5th journey or just follow this link!

Meaning of nearly all Medjai tattoos/hieroglyphics

Hieroglyphic tattooI have tried to translate all the hieroglyphic tattoos of the Medjai. It was hard work, but now it is done! You can see the results in the tent "costume", then go under "tattoo" or just click here or on the hieroglyphic picture to the left! You will find the meaning of Ardeth's face tattoos (astonishing news!!! There is NO Arabic there and also no barge of the dead... it is much more interesting!!) and the meaning of the body tattoos of the old Medjai and perhaps also Ardeth's body.

Hamunaptra!!

Hamunaptra In January 2008 I was in the City of the Dead!! Really!!! Medjai guarding Hamunaptra in 2008 Click here to go directly to the report on finding HAMUNAPTRA and a lot of pictures !!!
Together with my friend Simon I made a camel trekking in Morocco for 15 days. At the end we arrived at the dunes at Erg Chebbi. I knew that the filming of the two first Mummy-films of Steven Sommers were just made nearby. The team has lived in the town Erfoud in 1998 and 2000, and Hamunaptra was - due to Internet statings - filmed in an old volcano, some 3 miles in distance of Erfoud. I asked the guide who was with us on the camel trek to find that place, and he ask some people at Erg Chebbi. We have had luck and found this vulcano, which was farer away from Erfoud than expected! And then we drove to Hamunaptra! What a great feeling to be there, to stand at that important place where they have filmed the Mummy-films!!! To stand between old portuguise ruins which also were used as background for the City of the Dead!

My visit to the Star Trek Convention in Fulda, 19th - 21st May 2006

Being again ArdethaThe "FedCon XV" was held up in Fulda, a town inmidst of Germany. There were a lot of guest Stars from the diverse Star Trek-series: George Takei (Sulu), Walter Koenig (Chekov), Robert Beltran (Chakotay), Gates McFadden (Dr. Crusher), Connor Trinneer (Trip Tucker), Nicole de Boer (Ezri Dax), Cirroc Lofton (Jake Sisko), and of course others. I enjoyed staying there, for the most because of the very interesting lectures on Star Trek phsyics and languages and the Egyptian aspects in Stargate. Because my last convention visit was five years ago, I was really happy to join again with a lot of people to whom I was known in earlier years. It was very nice to meet them all again. On Friday evening I dressed up as a Klingon like in the years 1997 - 2001, but on Saturday and Sunday I took over to my favourite role as Medjai - with a brandnew costume!

New Costume

New costume
In March/April 2006 I made a new Medjai costume. It took approximately 10 days, but because I posess the original costume of Oded Fehr it was quite easy. I sewed the new costume in the same way as the original costume was sewed. The new one is very easy to wear, like a coat. It has two inside bags which is very practical. The only thing difficult was to buy the right black stuff and the other items belonging to the costume. And it was quite a lot of work, but I was very proud when I had finished, because it is quite similar to the original - besides that it is smaller.

In the tent "Galery" you can see another new-costume-pic. There you may enlarge both pics.

Oded Fehr not in The Mummy 3

As Oded Fehr told in an interview, he will not be involved in Mummy 3 !!! The third real Mummy-film (will it be really a REAL Mummy-film without Imhotep???) will be set up in China. The O'Connels have to hunt some Chinese mummies, I guess. Imhotep and Ardeth won't be involved. SO SAD !!!! :-( :-( :-(
