Medjai-Tattoo:
Forehead (= Underworld)
![]()
One can easily see some hieroglyphic signs. The small two lines at the beginning and at the end are confining lines. This tattoo one can also find at the back, but there are no lines at the beginning and at the end, but above and below the signs. It has the same meaning: all these symbols belong together and are meaning one word. The other hieroglyphics are: the panicle of a blossom (M17,phone "j"), a rope/a half (Aa13, phone "m"), a wick (V38, phone "h"), a bread (X1, phone "t"), and a house (O1, meaning "building"). These hieroglyphics (plus the owl which is missing here) means: "Imket" = underworld, a myth place. The phon eof the missing owl is an "m", so the "m" would be twice here - as phone, of course. Complete the word "Imket" would be like on the fourth picture belos, the white one. Perhaps the owl was too alaborate to draw for the tattoo painter in the "Mummy"? Or it should be more mysterious, so we can't find it so easily?
