The bracelets were sewn by my friend Simon - as a Christmas present for me. Because of that you should better refer to him. Nevertheless, I will try to describe them: They are made from a piece of thick black cloth which is - when it is already hemmed - 21 cm in length and 8 cm in width. Thereupon are sewn two strips of leather, both 2 cm in width and 28 cm in length. Instead of the small buckle (as on the original bracelets) Simon has sewn irons rings on the one ends of the leather strips and on the other ends vel cro fasteners (adhesive fasteners) so that one can draw the ends with the vel cro fasteners through the rings and fasten them on the piece of cloth.

The original is black cloth (with little white points) and 23 cm in lentgth/8 cm in width. Buckles are fasten on the leather strips. On the picture on the right side I have put one of my bracelets and one of the original bracelets side by side - for a direct comparison.

The Turban

The Turban consists in two long scarfs and a black leather strip - you need a lot of patience when winding it for the first time. I have got two original Medjai-turban scarfs by auction. They are blue and black, both one meter in width and 3,80 Meter in length. The one meter-width will be shrink togehter. On the left picture you can see the black scarf.
Now you have to wind, wind, wind... First you have to fasten the black scarf around your forehead and bind it together in the back, one end has to be much shorter than the other one, the long one - you need it later. Now you can put somethng like a circlet on your head so that later your turban will be high and steady enough. Now you have to take the blue scarf, wind it around your head, a little bit higher than the black one, bind it together at the back of your head too, then wind it two other times around your head, but pulled togethter, so that you can hide later the rest of the scarfs in the middle. Now you have to take the leather strip and to wind it around the blue scarf so that it will be steady. Fasten the leather strip at the back of your head. You have to straigthen your turban a little bit. At last you have to take the long end of the black scarf over your one shoulder and to throw it over the other shoulder. That will be the scarf with which you can veil your face - only pull it higher if you need it.

Here you can see the result of the winding. On the left picture I have taken the blue scarf as the one which one long end is thrown over the shoulder and can be used for veiling the face. On the right picture the veil is the black scarf - as explained above. The other two fotos are, perhaps, not taken seriously

Have fun when winding! And do not abandon hope: It took me two hours at the first time, but now the winding is done in twenty minutes only.

eh? Wow!

BootsThe weapon "holding device": I have simply taken two belts and put them together. At the one end you can make a loop wherein you can put your sword later. Furthermore I have taken two silver chains and fasten them on the belts. Later on the costum they run parallel with the belts so the whole weapon holding device looks more like Oded's. On the picture I have placed the silver chains a little bit away from the belts so one can see them better. You should have two of these weapon hoilding devices and cross them over your chest.

The boots: On the foto to the right you can see the original boots of Ardeth Bay, worn by Oded Fehr. They are grey.

Oded is wearing a necklace with heavy silver pendants and black laces. It is possible to find something very similar, the silver pendants should be big enough. First I have bought the necklace on the right picture.
In 2008, I have bought in Morocco a necklace mady by Tuareg - you can see it on the left picture as well as on my small picture. It is much more similar to the nacklace which Oded Fehr wears as Ardeth Bay.
