Information

Some history and more...
The Medjai were (are?) in fact a very historic warrior tribe
which reached its apex at the time of the New Kingdom of Egypt,
consequently at the time of Pharaoh Seti I (also called Sethos I.
- see information on pharaoh Sethos I's tomb under
"Egypt" on this page!) ). Never the Medjai ceased to
fight, for example against the intruding Romans who wanted to
forbit them to worship their old religion on the temple island of
Philae. - So here one can find some (hopefully useful)
information on the Medjai - their history, a representation of a
certain Medjai called Nebamun and some speculation who are the
today's Bedja-bedouins.
