A coral reef in the Red Sea

It is lying ca. 6 kilometers off the coast of El Gouna. To the right you can see a person snorkeling. The ropes of the boats were moored at the reef. In the small bay to the right it was easy to snorkel, but on the left side, where you can see the deep blue see, it was difficult. The reef seems quite dead to me...
